2012 has come to a close. As we think back over the year, I don’t know how many times we have thanked God for you and others like you — but it was a lot. You have been so faithful to uphold us in prayer and support us as we have ministered in South Africa, and this year, in America as well. Your partnership with us in the Great Commission is an amazing encouragement and we are just as excited as ever as we welcome in 2013. We are half way thru our five-week trip to America and it’s already had some very special highlights.
Our daughter, Chelsea, married her South African sweetheart, Robin, on 28 December. It’s been fun to host Robin’s family from South Africa as well as his grandparents from Scotland. The Ohio snow made for some beautiful holiday scenery and fun. Especially since our South African white Christmas is usually a day at the beach! This was our first Christmas with our family in Ohio in 12 years.
While in the States, we were blessed to visit a new church in Johnstown, Ohio in hopes of gaining a new supporting church and Tom spoke at our sending church in Columbus too. From here, we will make our way to the ABWE Global Operations Summit for our annual conference and strategic planning. After that we return home to South Africa to begin a New Year of ministry. We have been gearing up for the start of a new church plant and are anxious to lead the Mountain View church family through that process in the coming year. What a blessing to have our South African pastor, Johan le Roux, lead our church during our absence over the Christmas break.
Thank you again for all your amazing support. The prayer request tab on our blog has been updated as you continue to bring our needs and ministry before the Lord in prayer.
God’s best to you in the New Year!
